嗯, 如同lin所說, 加拿大一般的素食觀念都是西方素吧.
如果妳不能吃洋蔥之類的五辛, 也建議自己煮, 或是去三明治店
(例如: Subway) 自己選配料和醬就可以避免.
或是一些美食廣場(food court)都會有中國食物,
他們說炒飯或炒麵也是素的. (但是我不確定, 要問清楚)
有一些墨西哥炒飯或捲也是素的, 但是不知是否含洋蔥.
之前去玩的時候, 其實也是在港式或越南餐廳
請他們炒素食的飯和菜給我而已...
如果真的無法去找素食餐館的時候
噢 還可以上網搜尋一下 ^_^

Good Earth Café (1502 11 St. SW. - and 5 other locations - 228-9543) Some of the best salads in the city, and there's always a vegetarian and a non-vegetarian entree on their cafe-style menu.
Thai Sa-On (351 10 Ave. SW. 264-3526) One of Calgary's favorite Thai restaurants serving curries, pad thai, salad, spring rolls, and coconut rice. While some dishes have meat or seafood, they have many vegetarian options.
Palki (#128 Dalbrent Centre, 3604 52 Ave. NW 282-9797) Family-run restaurant with excellent home-cooked Punjabi Indian cuisine. Not exclusively vegetarian but has extensive vegetarian offerings (including: clay-oven tandoori, biryani, and paneer).
Community Natural Foods (1304 10 Ave. SW. 229-2383) A store that prepares both vegan and vegetarian entrees with organic foods, whenever possible. Dining is cafeteria-style and open store hours.
The Kremlin (2004 4 St. SW. 228-6068) Surprising variety of Russian cuisine, though not exclusively vegetarian, includes: vegetarian perogies, crepes and pasta, with daily fresh salsas. The antique decor exudes a comfortable charm. Reservations recommended.

你是要暑期遊學嗎?你是要住親戚朋友家還是住homestay或是自行租屋(機率好像小一點)
若住親朋好友家應該問題不大
若住homestay你一定要很明確地告訴你的host family你有那些不吃,那些狀況的東西不能吃,你若只是單純的告訴他們你是vegetarian,那是不夠的,因為canadian對vegetarian的認知不同
若真的是租屋你最好買回來自己煮,在海外的asian food的餐廳都很不道地也不好吃,尤其你想吃個像台灣的素食就要慎選了
加拿大的super market裡都有一個區域是專屬vegetarian但你一定要小心它的ingredient含不含onion or green onion or garlic...我猜你大概不能吃吧
很多印度餐廳都是素食的,但都有大蒜,洋蔥
