那為什麼我說你們吃素，就表示說你們有仁慈呢?
因為一個人，他如果有那麼多愛心，連動物跟他無關的，也看不到他被殘殺的，還不想吃，不忍心吃他，他不會傷害別人的。所以，疼愛動物，就也是一種保證的和平。所以吃素菜的人，修行、打坐的人，一定是和平的一個公民的。哪一個政府都應該鼓勵人民吃素。如果政府怕革命的話，就更應該鼓勵人民吃素，是嗎?他們吃素以後就不想造什麼傷害到別人，然後政府更安靜，更安心可以治國平天下了。

So why did I say that if you are vegan, it means you are benevolent? 
Because if one person has so much love that he does not even want to eat animals even though they do not concern him, and has not seen them being killed, he does not have the heart to eat them, he would not hurt anyone. Therefore, love for the animals is a guarantee for peace. So a person who is vegan, practices spiritually and meditates is definitely a peaceful citizen. All governments should encourage their people to be vegan. If the government is afraid of revolution, then they should encourage people to be vegan even more. After they become vegan, they would not want to cause harm to others. So the government would have more peace of mind to govern the country and pacify the world.
